In the last issue, we learned about okra cultivation and saw how to get better yields with Galway Krisham products. In this issue, we will tell you how to grow healthy and high yields of sesame (white and black) with the help of Galway Krisham products.
Oilseeds are grown on a large scale in India and give good profits to farmers in a short time. Sesame was mainly used in cooking oil, but now it is also being used in cosmetic and food industries. Therefore, it has become a profitable cash crop.
Most of the sesame cultivation is done in Maharashtra, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Telangana. Let us know how you can make sesame crop healthy and increase the yield by using Galway Krisham products.
1. Field Preparation:
For soil treatment, take 100 kg of well-decomposed cow dung manure, vermicompost, or ash/loose soil. Mix it with 1 litre of G-Bio Phosphate Advanced and keep the mixture in shade for 24 hours. After 24 hours, apply it in the field and mix it well with the soil.
2. Seed Treatment:
Seed treatment can be done in two ways, one is with water and second one is without water.
Note: Seeds that are smaller in size should be treated without water.
Example: Mix 10 ml of G-Bio Phosphate Advanced in 1 kg of sesame seeds, dry them in the shade for 30 minutes and then sow. The quantity of G-Bio Phosphate Advanced can be increased depending on the quantity of sesame seeds.
3. Use of Fertilizers and Nutrients
• Take the required amount of DAP. Mix 10 kg of G-Sea Power and 4 kg of G-VAM in it and spray it across the field per acre.
• For urea, take the required amount and mix 10 kg of G-Sea Power, 200 ml of G-Sea Liquid, and 200 ml of G-Bio Humic in it. Spray this mixture in the field per acre.
4. At the Pod Ripening Stage:
When the grains start maturing, mix 10–15 ml of G-Amino+ in 15 litres of water and spray it on the crop.
Special Note: Black and white sesame seeds have almost the same nutrients and are both good for health. However, according to Ayurveda, black sesame seeds are considered more beneficial. They are a richer source of iron and have more fiber. When it comes to farming, there is hardly any difference between black and white sesame; both are cultivated using the same methods as regular sesame farming.
