Dear Galwians, In this issue, we’ll guide you on how to enhance the lush green yield of Okra using the excellent range of Galway Krisham products.Okra is a popular annual crop belonging to the Malvaceae family. AGRIleading producers in India include Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal and Odisha. It is mainly cultivated for its tender, green, and nutritious pods. Interestingly, its dried parts and peels are also used in the paper industry and for fiber extraction. Rich in vitamins, proteins, calcium and other essential minerals, Okra is a nutritional powerhouse.
You NEWS know how important Okra is from a health perspective. It’s packed with vitamins A, B, C, proteins and minerals. Its roots and stems are used in the purification of jaggery and sugar and the fibrous peels are useful in paper mills.
Okra is a crop that can be grown nearly all year round. However, the ideal temperature for its best yield ranges from 25°C to 30°C.

AAWWhile preparing the field, it’s good to treat the soil. For this, take 100 kg of decomposed cow dung/vermicompost/ash/loose soil and mix it well with 1 liter of G-Bio Phosphate Advanced. Keep this mixture in shade for 24 hours. After that, spread it in the field and plough the land properly.
2. Seed Treatment:
Always remember, there are two ways of seed treatment, one with water and one without water.
Note: If the seeds are the size of wheat or smaller, treat them without using water.
Take 1 kg of okra seeds and mix them with 10 ml of G-Bio Phosphate Advanced. Dry the treated seeds in shade for 30 minutes and then sow them.
3. Fertilizer Application:
As per requirement, take DAP and mix it with 10 kg G- Sea Power + 4-8 kg G-VAM. Spray this mix in the field as per one-acre land.
4. Urea Application:
Depending on the need, take urea and mix it with 10 kg G- Sea Power + 200 ml G-Sea Liquid + 200 ml G-Bio Humic. Spray this mixture per acre for better crop growth.
5. During Flowering & Fruiting Stage:
While spraying at this stage, ensure there is good moisture in the field. Only spray when 60-70% flowers and fruits have appeared.
Mix 10-15 ml of product in 15 liters of water and spray. Do spraying either in the morning or evening. Avoid spraying in harsh sunlight or high temperatures.
6. During Fruit Maturity Stage:
When seeds are about to mature, mix 10-15 ml of G-Amino+ in 15 liters of water. Spray this on the crop before full maturity for better yield and quality.
